JNC solved it for me - it was a remake of a 1980s ad for the MR2, minus the happy owners jumping to “Oh What a Feeling! Toyota! ” Link and speculation about a new MR2 below:

My MR2 could do with some appreciation so here's hoping a new one is just announced and not drawn out for years on end.

The birth of my love of cars happened in 1985 when I was 3 years old and my dad bought a 1985 MkII Supra P-Type in two-tone blue. He’d come home from work and my 3 year-old ass would make him pop the hood and I’d pester him with questions. “W here’s the fuel injectors of it? W here’s the cylinders of it?”
My dad ’s still into cars but doesn’t pay attention to the interwebular hype machine thereof. He s aw the new Supra commercial during the game and was like, “wait, they’re making a new Supra?” Meanwhile during the ad I was like, “BWAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!! SUPRA!!!!!!! BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!”
Then I had to explain to him that the new Supra is actually a BMW Z4.

Mk II Supras were nice cars and looked especially good in the two-tone colors.
Ha yeah they should have had “O h was ein gefühl! BMW!” at the end of the Supra ad . Would have made those kind of talks easier.
